Here’s the scoop, kids:

1. What IS Cinco De Mayo - As I said, today is Cinco de Mayo, and it’s a lot more than just eating tacos and thinking that’s the nuts and bolts of it. It’s an important holiday to a lot of people, and I think the least we can do is really brush up on our history. Rad.

2. 25 Greatest Comedy Movies Of All Time - Who doesn’t need a good laugh? Who doesn’t need an escape from the bad news, the bad headlines, the exhausting nonsense going on in politics and the state of things? No one, that’s who. That’s why this list is so important, 25 of the funniest movies you could ever see, to help escape the doldrums. Got any favorites that didn’t make the list?

3. Fireworks + Drones + Long Exposure Photography = Wow - Not much to say about this, other than wow. I don’t really love drones, they are noisy, disruptive, and out of place in exquisite nature, and I don’t really love fireworks (I’ve had multiple dogs terrified of them), but holy crap when you combine them, you get some glorious results. 4. Etymologies of Every Day Words - I love stuff like this, you know that by now, and here are 71 every day words that have unique origins. One that didn’t make the list is Giraffe, and did you know the original English word for it was “Cameleopard” which is just so simple and absolutely brilliant.

5. Theis & Pernille by Frans Bak - This record is just beautiful, and every song is a stunner, but holy moly, some of them just make me feel all sorts of things that I don’t even know how to articulate. Peace, maybe, held, calm, wonder. This is one.

6. Typewriter Series Silliness - More of me being an absolute moron, BUT, reading you daily poetry, which who doesn’t want that?
