Friday, more like FriYAY am I right? Am I right?! Lady G and I are in Ireland right now, but you’re all rad and deserve a fresh plate of link noodles. It’s the least I can do.
The best way to help this community is to join it! We need your opinions, your writing, your voice, your participation to really make this thing even more special than it already is. The time is now, right?:
Here’s the scoop, kids:
The Minimalist Wardrobe - If you know Lady G and I at all you’ll know, we’re 99% of the time wearing black clothing. I don’t know why this is, but it is, and it keeps things simple. Here’s a rad piece on what the minimalist wardrobe can do for you. Certainly saves some time, and a lot of money.
20 Most Beautiful Cities To Visit In Your Lifetime - A glaring omission to this list is Edinburgh, but that’s ok, cause I just told you the secret, so you can add it yourself. If you need a new bucket list of places to check out before you croak, this is it. Ooof, get your plane clothes ready.
Why It’s Ok To Keep A Messy Home - My Mom will hate this one, Lady G will celebrate and pump her fists in the air to celebrate the minor victory of being told it’s more than Ok to do so. This article is rad and talks about why it’s totally and completely fine if your house isn’t spotless at all times. Wahoo!
Personality Changes From Hour To Hour - Well this is another bit of good news…turns out we might not all just be ‘moody’ but just totally normal after all. Personality shifts from hour to hour are completely normal and happen to almost all of us. We are different people all throughout the days we wander through, how rad.
Knowing When You Have Enough - People ask, and long have, why Finland always wins for “Happiest Country On Earth,” and it looks like the answer is a complex one, but that scientists are narrowing in on the possible answer. One of the chief and most important reasons: The art of knowing when you have enough. Looks like simply being content with what one has, might be the biggest predictor for overall happiness.
Us and the Rest by M83 - I’m always all in for M83. Always. Here’s a newer tune.
I love you all. Be good.
I’m all for avoiding fast fashion, and used to wear a lot of basic black myself, but personally I found wearing colour and adorning myself as a form of expression was really freeing and improved my mood. I still have a small wardrobe and wear things until they can’t be worn any more!
I just downsized my wardrobe the other day, what a coincidence! While I didn't go down to a capsule wardrobe size, I did make sure all the things I kept are things I wear and love. Now it's one in one out if I want something new.
