One way to really up your spooky factor, whilst also learning a great deal about the world, which you should know by now I think is a vital thing to being a better human, is to engage in some adventure wandering. What about Dark tourism? These spots all have eerie, and fascinating, histories. Why not add a few to Your bucket lists?

2. The Most Haunted Hotels In America - If you can’t swing an international visit this year, perhaps you’re nearby one of these absolute gems of hotels. These are the most haunted hotels in the USA and they each have their own terrifying histories, frightening ghosts, and reasons to avoid stay there immediately. Been to any of these? Seen anything good? Sound off in the comments, I’m all ears.

3. 11 Terrifying Urban Legends…That are TRUE - We all love a good urban legend, we all share them with our friends, or scare the bejesus out of the generations below us with their tales. What if, WHAT IF though, I told you 11 of them were actually real? Would you re-think the telling? Would you double down, and really scare the crap out of people by starting with: This is a true story. You tell me?

4. Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Specials - Ok, no one does spooky and smart and sciencey, and rad, better than Doctor Who. NOW we’re getting not one, not two, but THREE 60th Anniversary Specials where my favorite Doctor of all, David Tennant, is coming back! Buckle in kids, this Whovian is really, really excited.

5. 13 Hauntingly Beautiful Abandoned Places Around The World - Nothin says eerie like some gorgeous place, some stunning building or location, that has been entirely, completely, abandoned to time. I LOVE finding abandoned places, I love wandering them, and these 13 are just spellbindingly beautiful. I want to go to them.

6. Research Reveals Crows Use Statistical Logic - Long the feathered mascots of the scary seasons, crows, and their raven counterparts, are more than just chilling omens and dark symbols. Turns out, and new research is proving this, they are absolutely brilliant and can even use statistical logic to not only solve problems, but make decisions that will best benefit themselves. Most scientists believe they have the intelligence of a 7-year-old child, and that’s just amazing, and fits with the season. I love you, crows.

7. Paint My Bedroom Black by Holly Humberstone - A song for the season from a rad artist. Paint your bedroom black, friends. Just do it.
