Happy Birthday To My Marmie!
Special day this day, a day that puts it into perspective for not only me, but for all of you as well. I would not be here today if not for today, if not for it being the birthday of my Mom! This incredible woman deserves all the celebration in the world, she deserves every accolade and every credit and every possible award for being the greatest mother this planet has known. She is strength manifested as human, she is passion, energy, motion, and humor. To know her is to understand that you’ll never again meet a person like her, and what an amazing thing that is. So, Happy Birthday Marmie, you are so very loved.
I also find it hilarious that the haiku below happens to pop up on her birthday, as she thinks I am patently insane for how often I just wish to paint all things black in my life. She’s the queen of color, of adding bright contrast to things, and I just want to make the whole world a cave to hide in. Ahh, the juxtapositions make this life so sweet.
