Can I be, for you, the shoulder you rest upon? Can I be the soother of sore pieces, can I steal your breath and give it back slower, your heartbeat calm and steady? If you need, I am here, if you ache, I will try all I know to fix, if fixing is what you wish for. Please know there are hands waiting to hold yours, arms waiting to catch you. Please know if you cannot find anyone else, I am here, always here, and will do all I know to help. On my shoulder, please rest, breathe deep and know that whatever troubles you will one day stop. Please know the value of you, please hold it tight and believe.
On my shoulder rest,
for I know you are weary,
I know you're broken.
