"Art is vital" is ringing in my ears because of the pure truth in that statement. Humans are driven to make art even in the darkest of times. Whether we create it or experience it art is so innately human that we cannot live without it.
My kind of place! I am tempted ( based on the name of the place and your photos ) to conjure up fantastic images and tales from my long lost copies of the epic poem “Beowulf” and its modern retelling in John Gardner’s “Grendel” (which I believe was published during my youth in 1971). Such folktales and epic poems were the favorite reading fantasies of my youth and your photos are fantastically alluring enough to make me think this might be worthy as a destination vacation spot.
Years ago, I took my husband, a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, his 78 year old Dad, my 14 year old son and niece to the Meow Wolf in Santa Fe. We all too, got lost for hours exploring the art and mystery. It’s one of our favorite memories together. Its accessibility was amazing. The experience was just incredible and otherworldly!
I love that your older souls in adolescent bodies experienced the wonder of Meow Wolf.
Core Four memories tend to get harder to embed as we age. We're meant to grow up, up & away. I know that to be true. But, there is always magic in deeply embedded inside jokes & references that only those who have loved us longest can comprehend like breathing.
I hope your Halloween is a rad one for all of you 🧡🖤🤍💜✨️💚
Art is vital!!!! YES!! Shout it from the rooftops! Meow Wolf is quite the trip. I've been to the one in Vegas and it blew my mind. I would love to go to more of them since they are all different. Love this piece and love that you guys had this experience!

These fantastic images would be right, IF Beowulf was set in 2650 Tokyo :)
I love finding gems like this. They make me feel alive and like being alive matters.
I SO hope you get to go. It's magic.

YESSSS! I want to go to the Vegas one so badly. Let's make it a Signal Fire imperative, we all meet at a Meow Wolf!
