Can you imagine me as Prez hahaha. What a disaster I'd be. Though, it seems that perhaps disastrous is the new job requirement?

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for speaking your truth with such honesty, civility and kindness. Thank you for striving to create community and connections here in this Signal Fire. I have long thought that hope is defiant, it is a spark that we cannot afford to let the last embers burn out.....to hear another put these words together truly gave me hope for the first time in a while. Thank you for that gift.

From the bottom of mine, thank YOU for showing up here. I'll never stop fighting for hope, and I'll never stop trying to make this place a beacon of it. I'm trying all I know to get more people to cross over and join us, I just don't know what else to offer. :)

A Will of Hope

At the end of opportunity,

And on the edge of despair

You will seek hope.

Even at the end of your rope,

Tie a knot and hang on

You will hold hope.

Sometimes, it’s very small,

so far down a bunny hole

You will find hope.

Fight for it if you have to,

Bring it to the light of day

You will win hope.

Add someone to love,

something to do

Something to hope for.

It may take some time,

As others will challenge you

You will share hope.

And as a journey seeks happiness,

You find it along the way

You will never lose hope.

As per usual, stunner. We're tying the knots here, we're hanging on, and I'll be damned if my arms aren't strong enough to hold you all.

“The more we lose, the closer we come to freedom.” This inspired verse you wrote rings so true, on many levels of thought and experience. And freedom is not just life unrestrained, but lived with hope. Hope moves me forward. So the lyrics “let it begin with me” ring out in my ears. In times of trouble and tribulation, the simpler actions of life will sustain us. That’s why I wanted to compliment the phrase “someone to love, something to do, something to hope for” into a poem today.

It’s been really weird watching this unfold from across the world. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be living in it. Sadly, it seems nowhere in the world is safe from this spreading madness. Keep hoping.

“It is not strength that overcomes darkness—but light. Armies may rise, hearts may fail, yet still, light endures, and is mightier than strength. For in its presence, all darkness must flee.”

"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."

When all else fails... LotR + Yoda = the way forward.

Hope is the only choice; hope is light and light is the only way we can overcome the evils of our world. And we can't do it alone -- we have to reach out and hold onto each other and walk forward together. Which means no fear, no anger, no hate. If we start letting hate fester, then evil begins to gain ground. Evil wants us all separated, pointing fingers (or guns) at one another, scared for our lives and not trusting our communities. We have to be brave enough to put down the fear, and must persevere enough to take steps forward, even if they are the most minute steps.

It's going to be a hard slog but i think the good people are outraged enough to find this bravery, to unite, and to shine their light. Some may say it's naive but I choose to hope, and what I see at the end of all of this is a global paradigm shift that favours humanity and the earth. I see the light at the end, and it will extinguish the darkness.

Stunningly put, as per usual my friend. We cannot do this alone, all of us, no matter who we voted for, we all have to work together to be something bigger, better. I think we can get there. I really do.

I think we can, too. I feel it, deep inside. :) we'll get there, all of us, together.

Of this I am certain:
the picture is big

and we must remember

to step back

if we are to see clearly.

When tragedy strikes

we are but slaves to the

magnifying glass

so easily seduced

by the shock and commotion

that only gets more blurry

the longer we look.

Our strength has always been

rooted in the great unknown

it has only deepened

over centuries of human struggle.

We must remember this now:

we are more

so much more than this

moment in time

and the compassion we carry

will keep us alive.
