Some people come into our lives, change everything, then pop off and away and you don’t see them 1/1000th as much as you should. Some people do this, and the ripples of their connection never stop fanning out, like a continuous drip of stones into a still body of water in the center of you. This is Ash, to me, this is my brother-from-another-mother who lives far too far away, who I see far too often, and who will always be family to me. Always.
