I’ve mentioned it before, but the United States has a LOT of holidays they observe and honor, from the big marquee events like Thanksgiving and Christmas, to bizarre ones like National Fruitcake Toss Day (January 3rd, in case you have ideas), and all the way down to the more middle-of-the-road ones like yesterday’s President’s Day. Most of them, we just see as days kids miss school or we fail to get mail. Anyway, yesterday’s ode to those who have led, or “led” our nation got me thinking, and that usually leads to a prompt. It was a day to honor all those that served this country in its highest elected office, well, mostly served as some did nothing more than serve themselves and f a bunch of stuff up. What a tragedy it’s all become, what a farce.
