If August does anything well, which with climate change I’m beginning to wonder if it does many things well at all anymore, it is this: Stunning sunsets that lead, for some strange reason, to the most spectacular introspection. These moments as the last bit of light is dying and fading into the perfect gradient from black to purple to pink to orange to yellow just off the horizon line, can often lead to the best truths, and I have found their potency is increased exponentially by the right song in your ears, the perfect soundtrack to the fading of the day.
