A Something Made Of Light | 2.23.21
We lose sight sometimes, forget the glow that we know, deep down we know, exists in all things. Time and tide and routine and this never-ending pandemic shift our viewpoints, reorient the way our eyes aim, and we see more shadow than shine. I do this, I know I do this, even though I do not mean to. I’m trying to feel more forgiveness towards myself for struggling lately, for feeling like Groundhog Day only without the warm reassurance that people are vulnerable to disease or death and will be back again, just like today. These are trying times, I know you all know it, and I hope wherever you are, you’re feeling ok, feeling like there is indeed light at the end of this tunnel, feeling like there is indeed light inside everything, shining out, asking us to see it.
I’ll practice more, as it’s a skill I’ve never lost but have felt rusting a bit lately. I will practice more and try to have whatever spark is in me, shine out a little brighter so it reaches you all, so it reminds you.
