The mountains are huge, towering jaggedly into the fiercely blue sky, painted white at the peaks with yesterday’s snowfall. During the day they loom all around the lake, forcing you to stop and take notice of their contrast of white on blue; at night you can still feel them circling around you and sometimes, if you look hard enough, you’ll catch a new contrast of white against the blackness of the sky. I am blessed to see these things and can not fathom what I have done right in my life, to be given the chance just to look.
